-- Nephews Joshua and Joel came from Minnesota to visit me in DC, and I ran them ragged for nine days taking in many local sights, as well as some in Philadelphia and New York City.

-- My yearly trip to Minnesota included the normal rush to try to see everybody while at the same time trying to relax. In 12 days, I managed to spend quality time with my mother, stepfather and my brother and his family, while having much shorter visits with my father and stepmother and other relatives -- Pat and Ted, Lauri, Mike and Tammy Wybierala, Jean, Danny, Darin and Anne, Doug and Kathy Oman, Ann Luchsinger, Rich Kabes -- and friends -- John Garscia, Jeff and Jackie Johnson, Jerry and Patty Jaehnert, Jay and Janet Schmidt. I also checked in on a couple of my college professors, Carol Barrett and Mike Albert, and even managed to talk with a guy I haven't talked to since high school, Dave Peiper.

-- Springtime has otherwise been occupied by bicycling, visiting friends, attending partys, and seeing movies (notably the DC Film Festival) and concerts (notably a day-long alternative rock concert at RFK Stadium).
